The new list is located here I've added my favorite book from Junior High School, The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Elizabeth George Spear, because I think it would make a good Springy read, it's kinda light because it was intended for teens but from what I remember it is beautifully written. I've not read it since High School so I'm gonna give it a go at re-reading or at least re-skimming.

The way this will work is we all add one book per month to be voted on. I'll announce the winner on the 24th just like always and then I'll start a new list to vote on. This way we don't have a stagnant list sitting around with tons of votes from people who aren't participating anymore anyway. I'm also gonna send a pm to everyone who has participated in discussions thus far to make sure they know how the new thang is gonna work.

Just to be clear, we are adding and voting until April 24 for the book to read in May and discuss in June.  Then the list will be cleared on April 24, and we will add and vote until May 24 for the book to read in June and discuss in July.  Right?

I really liked Bitter Is The New Black but it's a WL book so I have to find a different one.

Barb, when I was deciding on what book to add to the list I went through my TBR and put ones that I thought would make good discussion reads onto my reminder list so I could see how many copies were available. I picked Witch of Blackbird Pond mostly because I love the book but also because it has several versions in the system and most of those versions have a lot of copies in the system. The version that I chose has something like 130 copies available.

So far there are three books on the list and I have all three of them on my TBR already. I think that says something about me but I'm not quite sure what that is.

The one I picked I also have, and chose it because you put it on the list last time.  I figure that will get it two votes!

Yeah I think I added it to the list then because it would be a motivator to actually read the book if it got picked for discussion. I've had it since it came out but I've not had sufficient motivation to read it.

C'mon guys, vote!  We have three books each with one vote.  Need a tiebreaker and more books to choose from.

There are three weeks left to vote in so they are probably taking their time.

Alright the pressure is on, there are only twelve days left to add a book and have it voted on so if you want your selection to be considered get it in there.

Please everyone, vote for all the books you are willing to read, not just your favorite.  That is the only way we will get a consensus, with most people being willing to read a particular book, even if it isn't your first choice.

Deb, your book doeesn't have any copies in the PBS system.

Lots more selections have been added. It looks like we may need a tie breaker vote if there aren't any more votes added in soon. The top two have the same number of votes.
