I just marked a book received, but never got the screen that asks for details about the packaging and option to send a message to the sender. I clicked a "received" button and was done. I verified through my transactions that it was properly logged as received. While doing this, I wasn't paying that close of attention. Is there a new feature that by-passes all the questions? |

Hmm. I marked 3 received yesterday and it gave me the little survey page each time. |

I guess it's possible I zoned out and missed it, but that's a pretty big screen to have missed. And even though I wasn't paying close attention, I WAS expecting it to pop up because I was wondering how much info I felt like providing. Hmmm, maybe just a fluke then. Thanks! |

The same thing happened to me also on two books I just marked recieved. Must be a glitch somewhere? |

I just marked 3 books received and I didn't get the survey either. I thought I did something wrong but after it happened 3 times I figured they must have changed it. Last Edited on: 7/21/09 12:19 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Maybe they are tinkering with it and so it's temporarily unavailable. |

The same thing just happened to me. I hope it is a glitch and not new. I like being able to send a message to the sender and would miss that feature. |

I'd be cool with them doing away with it. I always feel compelled to fill out at least part of it (granted the easy parts: PBS wrapper & hand addressed questions), but I grumble while doing it. It would also save me from getting the "Thanks!" messages when people receive a book. I think lots of people think they are obligated to say something to the sender, since the option is there. (A do you/don't you discussion that has happened many times already on the forums.) |

I agree with Margaret. I like to say thank you. |

I know that that feature isn't there when you're marking a book received that was sent to a friend at a different address. Hopefully I'll get some books in the mail today so I can mark them received and see what happens. I never fill out the survey thing or send a message unless there's a problem or if it's someone I "know" so I wouldn't miss it being gone. Cheryl |

I'd love the option to choose - the traditional acceptance with the survey or "express". |

I had this happen to me today also. I am using to filling everything out when I receive a book and don't mind it. I especially like thanking the member when they have taken extra time in packaging the book well. |

It just happened to me, too. As soon I as selected yes to add the book to TBR, it closed on me. Now I could have messed up once ;-) , but I had a second book to mark received and the same thing happened the second time. Pam |

I wonder if the books went to your shelf on Hold then since you didn't have the option to turn that off? |

I just logged in about 6 books received. Same thing. Even stranger is that I also received a box of books. I can leave feedback for the sender, but cannot mark them received! Sure hope they fix this soon! |

Just checked my shelf and everything I received today went there on hold. SIGH This might become a giant pain if they don't fix it! |

Oh I hope they are going to fix it. I dont' really care about the survey but I hate having books on my shelf on hold. When I look at my bookshelf I only want to see what I actively have posted. I go to my TBR to see what's WL or not. |

I just marked a book received and it gave me the survey. |

I just marked a book received and I got the full survey thing as well. Cheryl |

Me too - got the survey. |

A temporary situation, which has now returned to the familiar check in survey? |

I marked 3 books received yesterday afternoon and I got the survey. |

It game me the surveys again so it must have been a temporary glitch. |

I'm glad it looks like they haven't gotten rid of the survey page. I hardly ever fill out the survey (usually when I mark a boo kreceived I've already gotten rid of the packaging), but not only do I like to say thanks, I always select the option to remove the received book from my bookshelf. I'd be really annoyed if I had to go and remove every received book from my bookshelf manually. |
