My brother and I have been introducing each other to a bunch of new comics series these past few months, he introduced me to Preacher and the Walking Dead, I introduced him to Y: the Last Man and Swamp Thing.

Its sort of become a contest as to who can recommend a more awesome series, so if anyone has any recommendations that I can suggest to him, I'd love to hear them.  Also, which of the series mentioned would you say is the best?

I just finished reading the Preacher series, I loved it.  The story is very compelling, characters are interesting, flawed but still likeable and it is just some great storytelling.  Definitely one to check out.  Also loved the Y- The Last Man series.  Another one  I just couldn't stop reading.  Those are my recommendations.

I don't think anything beats The Walking Dead or Preacher, but try The Boys.

PREACHER is one of my all-time favorite series.

You may want to check out TRANSMETROPOLITAN for humor/social commentary in a science fiction setting (it's hard to describe but way awesome - check it out).  For very cool crime fiction, check out SCALPED (Jason Aaron) or CRIMINAL (Ed Brubaker) or PUNISHER MAX (Garth Ennis, again).
