Anyone find a new author/new series lately within the shifter genre? Maybe something published in the last 3 months? I'm in the mood for something new in that area but am fairly well read on the favorites. |

Blood Law is really good, but just be warned that it's the first book in a trilogy, and it is definitely not a standalone HEA book. Jennifer Ashley also has a new one Wild Cat (Shifters Unbound, Bk 3) out in her Shifter's Unbound series if you've read the first two. If you haven't read them. I definitely reccomend them. Bloodrose (Nightshade, Bk 3), Book 3 in Andrea Cremmer's Witches War series about werewolves also just came out. The books are very advanced YA, and I I thought the first two were excellent if you haven't read them already. |

Thanks for the suggestions. The Jennifer Ashley series looks really good. I recognize the cover of the first book, so I think I've read it. But definitely not the second or the third. ![]()

I had some minor surgery Monday that required me to take off work all week. I envisioned myself with 5 days on the couch reading to my heart's content while convalescing. Unfortunately I ended up too miserable to read. (And that's just WRONG!). Anyway, since I'm now on the mend I decided to treat myself to this series this weekend and bought the ebooks from Amazon. Turns out I HAD indeed read the first one but I skimmed through it which was good since I remembered so little. But I settled down with Book 2 yesterday and really enjoyed it. I'm about to tackle Book 3 now. There are also 2 short ebooks (99 cents) that are part of the series Bodyguard (Shifters Unbound) - the story of Ronan, a shifter bear who serves as bouncer/bodyguard in the full length books. That should be interesting because they made him out to be ferocious but loveable guy. (And frankly, he didn't seem all that smart. More like the loyal "big lug" type.) For instance, he would fight to protect but didn't want to kill the bad guys so the heroine basically had to save him. I'll be curious how Ashley turns him into a love interest. Probably just a matter of perspective. Shifter Made (Shifters Unbound) - a prequel that tells how the Guardian Sword was made. Unfortunately Amazon didn't make any of these 5 titles lendable so I can't offer to share. But I can second Karen in that it's a good series. I was going to recommend Jennifer Ashley also. I love the Shifters Unbound series. Also if you have not read any of Shelly Laurenston - she is wondeful. She also writes as G. A. Aiken and has a dragon shifter series. |

Have you read Pamela Palmers Untamed series... really good ... but there's at least 6 in the series and they are not stand alones... Thea Harrison has about 4 or so and again, not stand alones, but really good. |

Jo, this isn't a new series but the author is Australian and you may not have seen them, but the Riley Jenson series by Keri Arthur. The first few books were a bit too sex laden but I stuck with them because they were set in Melbourne, Australia (where I used to live) and the author included lots of landmarks and neighborhoods I was familiar with. I'm glad I stuck with them since as the series progresses the gratuitous sex has been replaced by real and interesting plot lines.
