Wishlist is for a book that you want but there are not any in the system. You are kinda expected to order it if it comes up and you are next in line. I say kind of because you do have the option to put it on hold. But if it is offered and you say no, it is no longer on your wishlist. Putting it on your reminder list is for any book that you want to think about but not order now. If there are copies in the system and you think you might want to order it later, you can put it on your reminder list. If there are no copies in the system and you think you might want to put it on your wishlist later you can put it on your reminder list. |

Hi Kim! Welcome to PBS. The best palce to start looking at the difference between wish list and reminder list is in the help docs. Put simply your wish list is books that you want that are currently not in the system. This may be because the books haven't been released yet or there are people who want the book but no one has posted the book to trade or the there are fewer people posting the book for trade than want the book. You can have 200 books on your wish list at one time. Your reminder list is a bit different. Your reminder list is for books that you want but don't have the credits for or don't want quite yet. Generally books on your reminder list are books that are in the system that you can ask for at any time. Some people have 200 books on their wish list and then find more books that they want. Then they put the books on their reminder list and when they have an open space on their wish list they change the book from the reminder to wish list. Hope that helps. Don't worry about asking questions there are a lot of people willing to help you. |

Just to add that while you can only place 200 books on your wishlist, there is no limit to how many books you can place on your reminder list. |
