Hello everyone, I am new to the club and have a question that I haven't found an answer to in the Help documents.  It is mainly a matter of curiousity!

I know that people are able to tell how far in line they are for a book they have on their wishlist.  What I'm curious about is - if I post a book for which there are already other copies posted, is there anyway to tell how many copies there are of that book on PBS?  Obviously not crucial to know, but it can't hurt to ask.

Thanks for any replies on this!

Welcome to the club!

To answer your question, first do a 'search' for the book you want to post.  If it pops up, temporarily place it in your 'reminder' list.  When you view this list, the no. of copies already in the system will be shown.  If the book doesn't come up when you run a search, obviously yours will be the only copy available when you post it.

I have sometimes looked at thrift stores, garage sales etc. for books to post, and if there are 100+ books in the systedm I don't post them.  Sometimes I send them to service personnel in Iraq, or I don't buy them at all.  It sometimes takes forever and a day to go through the line otherwise.

Welcome, by the way!!

Yes, but even if your book is #100 in line someone may order the book direct from you when they get another book from your list.
