I am pretty much a newbie myself.  I just wanted to share a little advice that I took from some other members.

I was beginnning to believe that my books weren't going to get requested because there were a large number available of the ones posted.  I am now getting several requests.  Here is what I did.

I started participating in the forums quite a bit.  I buddied members that have similar reading interests.  I put some of books in the book bazaar.  I also bought a few books at a thrift store.  I paid 69 cents for PB and 1.49 for HC (well worth it) and these are the ones I am getting requests for now.  I was very particular about the condition of the books that I bought.  My most important peice of advice is to be kind and treat other members as you would want to be treated.  Post only books that fall within  the guidelines.  You wouldn't want to receive a book in bad condition.  It is possible that other members will remember you and repeat order from you.

Oh, and if you have any questions the members on here are more than happy to answer them and help in any way that they can.

Happy Reading!

Something else you can do is to be sure to review your books.  They do get a couple of minutes (or more depending on when you write the review) on the home page and people will look up your profile and bookshelf.

Also make sure that you have a profile. So many new members don not take the time to set up a profile and that can effect yoru orders as well. Great advice Sheila and Ruth.

I'd also suggest running an occassional "Deal" in the Book Bazaar.  Makes your shelf very visible.....just be ready.....cause the orders can come storming in...!!!!    :)
