Five Quarters of the Orange 6 votes

Island of the Sequined Love Nuns 6 votes

or And Then There Were None 6 votes

We need a tie breaker so whichever one gets more votes in this thread by the 24th will be the winner.

I would prefer Island of the Sequined Love Nun but would probably also read the Christie book, even though I sent off a nice leather bound copy without reading it months ago. I don't see myself reading the orange book.

I'm going for love nuns too but will leave this until later in the day to see if there are any more votes.

I guess I'd prefer the sequin nun or the Agatha Christie.  I won't read anthing that is horror or too much misery.  I did read the Wonder Year and that was sort of borderline for making me anxious, but I did do it.

Carol, we are voting on our choice for the next book club discussion.  We have read Labrynth, Reliable Wife, and next month's discussion is Year of Wonders.  We are voting on what to read in March to discuss in April.  Join in!!

I think I have Labryinth, Reliable Wife, and Year of Wonders in my TBR pile. Too bad I didn't join in earlier.

I'm most interested in the Sequined Nun, but I don't have it. frown  And There Were None I probably have (or Ten Little Indians). So I'd probably pick one of those. However.....I am trying to expand my reading, so I'd still read the 3rd one if it were picked.

Now, the big question, does this group serve cookies?

Of course!  I always try to bring chocolate chip, but they usually don't pass inspection at the dough stage.

Get your YEar of Wonders out and read it now.  I haven't finished it yet, and the discussion doesn't start until March, you have time!

Cookie dough is good. yes

I'm reading a Russian "wacked out" novel right now for my library group. If I finish that one, I'll think about reading Year of Wonders.

Carol, you can add books that you recommend to the list by going in under ChrisB (Manny the poolshark)  You can also vote on the things that are there which we will eventually read.

I'll join in for the March/April read and discuss.  Looked at all three selections and have no preference.

K since we have new folks I'm up for letting the voting wait until Sunday. I also have flu so that is a major factor in this desicion. I'm going back to bed now but I'll check in again in the morning.

Ah, hate to break it to everyone, but Sequined is wishlisted in both versions.  I went to order one and can't get a copy, so what is your second choice?

I got one yesterday or the day before, ordered it just in case. Two versions of the paperback were available then. I'll bet some come up soon.

I would assume we bought those out, how many would still need a copy?

Chris B.   Hope you feel better.  I had stomach flu a month ago and some sort of lung gunk 2 weeks ago.    I hope I'm done now for a couple years.

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to zero out the voting list at the end of every month.

Hey guys sorry for being absent, I haven't gotten out of bed since ... forever. When I put love nuns on the list it was available.

I dunno if the list can be restarted unless we all delete them and put them back on every month. Also I've not read Wonders I've not felt up to it but I'll try to catch up when I feel better.
