Foreshadowing abounds - slow to unfold but almost like a train wreck - you have to watch.

Cath is on a bus to Florida, not knowing who she is or why she is there. After winding up in a hospital, her sister-in-law comes to claim her and bring her home. They return home, but Cath still doesn't remember anything that prompted her trip. What was she running from? As she spends more time with her husband and overpowering sister-in-law, she realizes that they have reasons why they don't want her memory to return.

This was a subtly chilling story. The writing (done from a thrid-person point of view) seems disjointed when talking about Cath. This cleverly adds to the reader's sense of Cath's dijointed memory and feelings. The sister-in-law is so snide and evil that I wanted to hurt her myself!
