Night Dogs
Author: Kent Anderson
The North Precinct of Portland, Oregon, is home to two kinds of cops: sergeants who've screwed up elsewhere, and patrolmen who thrive on the action on the Avenue. Officer Hanson is the second kind, a man who seems to fear nothing, except his memories, in his fight to keep the mean streets clean.

Great police book by Mr. Anderson who also wrote an excellent book on Vietnam (Sympathy for the Devil). You can tell through his writing that his time on the force was impactive to him. I have enjoyed his writing through the years and have collected all of his work.
