This is the book that reassures parents as they go through the trials of parenting. It makes you laugh and cry and gives a guide to the charms and absurdities of child -rearing. It's like eating popcorn one taste and you can't stop, it's superb-like a great voice heard above all the ordinary Sunday congregation singers-thrilling to the ear and heart, what Spock and Brazelton have done for children. Phyllis Theroux has done for parents- it's bedtime stories for parents in the dark. This is a mix or my comments and those of others on the jacket. "One of the very wisest books about parenting. From the most engaging writer I know"-M. Scott Peck
