From the back of the book: packed full of information about the universe. Detailed text covers everything from the stars and planets, to the Big Bank, black holes, supernovas and asteroids. Beautiful, full color illustrations also show what the universe looks like.
I would recommend this book for a student or just as a coffeetable book. It's a great little book to flip through and read a few pages at a sitting. Also great reference guide.

Well, it's interesting, but it needed to be written by someone a little more detail oriented, or at least an editor who is. It states at one point that the moon is a planet, it shows a planet orbiting inside the moon on an earth-centered model, and states the earth goes around the sun every 365.25 days (if you are going to use decimals, you should be exact, 365.23 days)
