I picked this up in a box lot at a yard sale and left it on the shelf for a long time as it just didn't sound interesting. My cover was not the same at the one shown here. Once I started reading it, I finished it the same night. It has an intricate plot with lots of angles that the author some how neatly ties together in the end. Are the murders terrorism, espionage, money laundering, revenge, or were the victims just in the wrong place at the wrong time? I really liked the physicist older heroine and her retired cop fiance and the other characters set against the San Francisco scene.
