I purchased a Nook book last night (from my Nook Touch Glowlight), and for some reason when I open the book, all it shows is a blank screen with "Page 1 of 211" at the bottom. When I try to page forward, nothing happens. I've purchased many Nook books before the same way, and never had a problem. They would just download to my Nook and be available for reading instantly. I tried disconnecting / reconnecting to my home Wifi, I powered down the Nook completely and restarted it again, but no luck. When I checked my Nook library and online account, it shows that the book was purchased and that my order was received and completed. I can't figure it out. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

Can you say what book it was? Maybe it's a corrupt file on their side. If nothing else helps, I'd write B&N a note and let them know you're having problems. They may be able to check to make sure the file is okay. Once, years ago, I downloaded a book where the fonts were white on a white background, so it looked blank. I could tell the fonts were there by 'marking' the text which changed their color. The author was posting their own stuff and just gooped up the format. Ed. - I did find an older conversation about the same problem. Here. Last Edited on: 6/19/14 9:43 AM ET - Total times edited: 1 |
