Ugh, stupid B&N.  My Nook did an automatic update to 1.5 today.  Reset everything.  Finally found all my B&N books, but deleted everything in My documents folder.  Why do they have updates that do that?  Or at least I would have liked to know before hand that this would happen then been given the option of when I did the update so I could make sure I backed everything up.  Grr.

This happened to me too.  Make sure you have a backup file on your computer to reload the books.  If you haven't started using Calibre I would suggest that.  It makes it easy to upload books to your Nook.

Hold up there! You haven't finished yet. You should let the machine run until it upgrades to 1.7.

Mine did this as well and the B&N guy told me if you miss 2 major upgrades it pretty much shuts down the machine. Your B&N content will load back on for you but you still have to hit the download button on each of your books to get them active on the machine. Make sure you do that before you get on the plane (not that I would know LOL). The sdieload content was easy to do through ADE. Now I just call B&N on the 1st of every month adn ask them what software we're on in case I need to upgrade.

Okay, I had to walk away from it for a day because I was so mad.  Today I tried to open (download) a book and it gave me a content error so I called customer service.  They told me the update put my books in archive and I had to connect through wifi to fix the problem.  So I connected and it went through another update but it did fix my problem opening books.  I have no idea what update I'm on now, but all the docs in My Documents are still gone.

I found out my work has wifi and I got the password, so I guess it makes sense for me to bring it in a couple times a month and just let it run, though again I wish I'd known that my docs were going away, I would have backed them up better.
