I just got this book in the mail and it's got a deckled/almost furry edge to the pages.  Instead of having smooth cut edges, it looks like a parakeet got hold of it and chewed the daylights out of it!  Is that how the book was released or did this book have a problem at the printer?!  Thanks!

I believe that is how the book was released. My copy has the same type of pages.

Some books are printed like that, on purpose.

I think the book was purposely printed like that - I took it to be that they were trying to simulate wedding invitation paper.

Thanks everyone. It just took me by surprise.  The last book I saw like that was one of my parents old, old books! It's actually kind of neat in a way. I hadn't thought about the tie-in with a wedding invitation but that's exactly right - thanks, Kim!

It's exactly the same way on my copy from the library that I have right now. Happy reading!
