This is an excellent true adventure. Will Steger 's expedition sets out by dogsled to re-create the journey to the North Pole originally undertaken by Robert Perry in 1909. "Burdened with 3 tons of supplies, they endured -70 degree temperatures, crossed the Arctic Ocean as it began to break apart, and confronted dangerour 40 foot high pressure ridges of ice - all with the knowledge that there would be no airlifts and no going back." It's hard to put this book down!
