A collection of humorous columns that were written for a British weekly from the US after the author returned to the US after living in Great Britain for 20 years. British publication.

I love Bill Bryson's writing, although this isn't my very favorite. This book is a series of columns he wrote describing his return from England to American life for a British magazine. The length of the columns makes this a quick read, but gives Bill an Andy Rooney cranky-old-man quality, athough I'll say it's like Andy Rooney back when I thought he was funny.
