Ms. Weaver does not disappoint in her latest book featuring Amory and Milo Ames. This time her cousin, Laurel, asks them to come to a country manor where she is staying because something is wrong. They find out that 7 years earlier, a young man was found dead outside the summerhouse in the snow and freezing cold. It was either a horrible accident or a deliberate murder. One of the guests had written a thinly disguised novel of the events that took place that evening. After that, one of the other guests commits suicide. Now all these years later they all return to the scene of the "crime". The author plans to write a sequel to the first book and she summons them to the same manor house. Amory and Milo are the only outsiders. Things go from bad to worse when someone is found dead. I really love these books. Amory and Milo's personalities continue to develop. The rest of the cast is deftly drawn. I really like this time period mid thirties. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a civilized British murder mystery.

A country manor house murder....enjoyed it, but ending got a bit muddled, clue wise...
