I have two books my daughter used in a college class: Carson McCullers The Heart is a Lonely Hunter (an Oprah's Book Club selection)   and Faulkner's Sanctuary. Both have underlining and brackets around some paragraphs and a few comments in margins.  I know we are not supposed to post books with writing except possibly textbooks. I would never just post them and not tell the requester about this. Is it ok to say,  if you order a book from my shelf, you can have one or both of these for free? They are otherwise in good shape and perfectly readable and the underlining and brackets do not look sloppy or cover any wording.. .

Yes you can offer any unpostable free with an order. The textbook exception is actually textbooks or workbooks so your books may be postable as long as you follow the rules for those - getting OK from the receiver BEFORE sending the book.

Thanks Melanie. I see how you have done it with your unpostable WL book.

Oooh! Kristina! I'm jealous. You're reading a book on my wishlist and I'm still only about 113 or something in line!! Oh well. I might have to break down and buy it, but this site is so good that I have a large pile of books to read and several more (3 or so) on the way.  You'll have to let us know how it was.
