Novelty Weaving Patterns JiffyLoom

Wonderful book from the depression era, full of patterns for a little hand loom, but they can be used for any weaving. Ideas can be used for potholder loop loom if you're creative. Rather thin at only 12 pages, but each of the eight patterns has complete directions. — See photo on Amazon: — http://www.amazon.com/Novelty-Suggestions-Jiffy-Loom-Pa...  more »

I bought this retro little book to get ideas to use with a pot holder loom and loops like sold by Harrisville at http://www.harrisville.com/loops/ but the little looms sold by Martha Stewart would probably work better.

It shows how to make interesting bullseye, zigzag, or diagonal striped patterns by using tweed for some of the stitches. The patterns are for using yarn with the potholder loom, so you have to extrapolate if you want to use it with the loops. A real vintage Jiffy loom has 24 pegs instead of the usual 18 that potholder looms have, so you'd have to take that into account also.
