Hotwire by Alex Kava.  The next in the Maggie O'Dell series.  Some wierd stuff going on in NE with Maggie & out east with Platt. Good read. 

Anything Goes: A Biography of the Roaring Twenties by Lucy Moore.  Good read with interesting chapters about characters and happenings in the 1920s.

Box 21 by Anders Roslund & Borge Hellstrom.  A couple police stories going on here, main one 2 girls kidnapped & forced into prostitution and another where a hit man gets caught beating up & killing a druggie.  Good story of Sweden & police work, but tough topics.  Sometimes translations seemed a little off too.  Good read overall though.

The Simeon Chamber by Steve Martini.  Couldn't really get into it, just kind of drug along to an end for me. 

The Yucks:  Two Years in Tampa with the Losingest Team in NFL History by Jason Vuic.  Really good and enjoyable read.  Brought back memories of when I first started following professional sports.  

Heaven's My Destination by Thornton Wilder. I had high hopes for this book but it's no looking to good right now. I'm about a third of the way through so something may happen yet.

Suspicion by Joseph Finder , I enjoyed it quite a bit, more than I thought.

Redemption Road by John Hart, not quite finished but think it's terrific.i have loved all his books.

Finished this month:  Anything For You by Kristan Higgins --- Connor O'Rourke and Jessica Dunn have had an on-again, off-again relationship for years.  When he wants to take it to the next level, she backs off, afraid of how her younger brother will react [she's been responsible for him ever since he was born]. A good read.

Leave a Message For Willie by Marcia Muller --- A Sharon McCone mystery.  Another one of the older series but always a great story. Sharon takes on a case for Willie Whelan, a flea market vendor and also a fence of stolen goods.  When a man is found murdered in his garage, Sharon has to prove Willie's innocence as well as find the murderer.

Pawley's Island by Dorothea Benton Frank --- Rebecca Simms comes home to Pawley's Island thinking she has left her high-stress life behind, only to find herself drawn back into it when she meets a woman who's also hiding out having just lost her house and children to a vinictive husband.  Love Frank's Low Country novels.

Dead Run by P.J. Tracy  -- The Monkeewrench team has been called to Wisconsin to help find a serial killer, but when Grace MacBride & Annie Belinsky, along with deputy Sharon Mueller, get lost in the back woods things take a frightening turn when they come across a deserted town.  A real page-turner.

Southern Belle by Fiona Hood-Stewart --- Elm McBride faces conflict when she decides to divorce her politician husband, both from him and her father, a Senator himself, while her husband is running for re-election. Story was kind of slow-moving until the last half, then it got interesting.

Hometown Girl by Mariah Stewart --- Part of the Chesapeake Diaries series, Brooke Bowers moves back to St. Dennis when her husband is killed in Iraq.  Her dream is to open a cupcake bakery and raise her son with no thoughts of romance, but attorney, Jesse Enright has other plans. A fun read.

The Best Defense by Kate Wilhelm --- Barbara Holloway doesn't want to practice law in the normal way after losing her husband, so she advises clients using a cafe as her office.  Then a woman comes to her begging her to take her sister's case.  Her sister is accused of murdering her child and Barbara can't resist getting involved. A real page-turner, love this series.

Tumbling Blocks by Earlene Fowler --- Benni Harper Ortiz is once again "investigating" a murder that no one except Constance Sinclair believes is a murder. Always a fun series.

Lunch at the Piccadilly by Clyde Edgerton--- A funny, yet poignant, story about elderly people living in a nursing home.  Edgerton has a fine grasp of what they go through, how they feel and express themselves.

Currently reading:  What Came Before He Shot Her by Elizabeth George --- This is a hard book for me to read, depressing, but it gives the background for the previous book, With No One As Witness. 

The Bone Labyrinth (Sigma Force, Bk 11):  James Rollins         Always good storylines...

Siren:   Tricia Rayburn        I really liked this YA book.

Waking Storms (The Lost Voices Trilogy):  Sarah Porter       The 2nd in the series of this YA book.  I will be waiting on the 3rd.

Mutation (Cryptid Hunters, Bk 4) : Roland Smith           The 4th in the series of this YA book.  I have read all 4.

Never Say Die  : Will Hobbs     This YA book surprised me.  The story of the "grolar" bear (half grizzly, half polar bear) surprised me.  I loved it.

This just in. by Bob Shieffer. I'm only about 20 pp in but I think this is going to be very interesting. a lot of history and stories Shieffer covered during his career. just over 100 pp and this is very good. really enjoying this.

The Shade of the Moon: Life As We Knew It Series, Book 4: Susan Beth Pfeffer          i enjoyed this whole series.

The Winter Pony: Iain Lawrence                               I was pleasantly surprised by this one.
