Is there interest in doing a read-along in November? If so, do we have any volunteers to lead it?

(I did my time, and time it was as The Secret Keeper was a laborious read. Just sayin'.) wink

Any interest? If not, we'll just move it along for another day. smiley

I would be willing to lead the November read-along.   However, I would much prefer that it be a book that I can use for the 2013 Historical Fiction challenge - or at least a book on my TBR as I am trying to get it to a managable size.    I can post a list of books that would work for me and see if anyone would be interested ......

Please do so Lynne!   I'm nearly finished with the HF challenge but I do have some left for the HF Mystery Challenge if you are doing that one, too, it might be a possibility.

OK, Here's my list.  Keep in mind that these are not necesarily books that are new and hot off the presses.  My TBR consists of books published anywhere between 1995 and 2012.  I actually have more historical fiction on my TBR than this, but was trying to keep the list at a reasonable length.   For those interested in historical mysteries, there are four listed and each is the first in that particular series.

I'm leaving tonight for a week long seminar in Atlanta.  I'm taking my Nook tablet, but that may be the only internet access that I get.  And that will be spotty depending on how the Wifi access is in my hotel.   So if I am unable to post in the next week, I ask that everyone please just post your thoughts and make a decision about which book you want to read for the November RAL amongst yourselves.

I'm doing "The Dressmaker" for another message board in November, so I'd be most interested in doing that one.  However, I loved "Zoli" and would re-read it as well.

Hi all!  It turns out that the WIFi signal at my hotel here in Atlanta is weaker than weak.  But I was finally able to get on the "public" PC available in the lobby and check in.   Mimi, thanks for chiming in with your opininon.

Anyone else have any preferences?

I'd be interested in reading Patriot Hearts by Barbara Hambly or Stone Heart by Diane Glancy.  I've read Mr. Churchill's Secretary  by Susan Ella  MacNeal and The Queen's Man by Sharon Penman

Wow...I have about 3/4 of those books on your list on my Mt. TBR, Lynne! I think almost any one will work for me!

On the list, I've read only Mr. Churchill's Secretary.  I'm interested in The Daughters of Witching Hill but am open to any choice you make.

Hi all!   Back from Atlanta and ready to dig in to real life again.    Thanks everyone for your feedback.  And based on the feedback, I've chosen four books for us to vote on for the November RAL.   I'll create a separate post for the voting and give one week for responses so that we have time to get the book before November.
