Enjoyed this book by Bacall as much as her other book "By Myself." I found her to be honest, amusing and down to earth.
I thoroughly enjoyed this candid autobiography. If you're a Bacall fan, you'll love it!
Lauren Bacall -- role model and romantic heroine, movie star of five decades, two-time Tony Award-winning actress, a woman whose celebrity and glamour only increase with time - shares her experience of life.
In this spirited, straightforward, exhilarating audio, she shares her experience of life. This is the Bacall we have all come to admire, talking to us openly, candidly, abut work: it's importance, its usefulness to her through the ups and downs and ups again of her career, its place in her life a sa young ride, as a young mother, and today. About romance, about marriage, about loneliness. About long friendships and how they evolved over time with Laurence Olivier, Slim Keith, John Huston, and Leonard Bernstein. She talks about the driving impulse to make a perfect home, about the marriages of children, about being a daughter, a mother, a grandmother. About being restless, about letting go. All of it.
Lauren Bacall is a magnifiscent woman with a great story. As she reads this book herself, her voice is as soothing and entertaining as one can get.
