This is where we post things we would like, except money request or books by name.   Please remember that we do not offer money for items we wish for because PBS frowns upon that.  It also lessens the spirit of this thread and the forum.

Note: If I write to you about something you have requested, it is only to inform you that the request is not what this thread is about. If you wish to leave your request in this thread, that is up to you.

First: Remember: this is the place to wish. We all have wishes. If you feel someone has asked for something too large, expensive or extravagant, just ignore. Please be kind. Don't make someone feel badly. None of us know someone else's circumstances, unless we ask...........................For those of us asking, let's remember this is NOT a place to stock pantries, get all our presents for others, etc. It's a place for members to wish for items for themselves and immediate family. Also, PBS rules do not allow one to ask for money, even for charities, here. You may ask for other items, such as stamps and boxtops, etc.

Here, you list a few things you like/collect/can use. Obviously, we all like certain things like credits, wish-list books, etc. This is NOTfor that kind of thing. This is for things others might have around the house that you can use (for instance if you collect postcards, bookmarks, Coke codes, or if there's a candy you love you can't find in your area, etc). ** Please remember that books, by title or genre, should not be requested in this forum(I Wish thread). There may be other places for that. If someone sends you a book, please receive it and thank the member sending it.

Please limit your list to about 10 items (Remember, you can edit your list), and if someone PMs you for your address, please acknowledge and thank them when you receive whatever they send you. There is a separate thank you thread so we can keep this one clean and easy to read. It can get jumbled and hard to read with extra clutter so if we can do our best to keep it to our requests and the rare bump, that would be awesome :) It's important to thank everyone who send something either by PM and or the thank you thread so that we know the item arrived. Members do not want to send things, continously, to others who do not let them know the items have arrived.

It's always good to check the RAOK thread before you post your wishes -someone may already have what you are looking for. (For those of you looking for them, coupons are offered on the RAOK on a regular basis.) There is now a separate coupon thread within the RAOK forum, if you wish to trade there.

I am wishing for:

- Anything cross stitching related, but especially patterns

Bandanas, as they are the only means of controlling my hair. Any colors and patterns are welcome, but I especially like blues and greens

- Fantasy Artwork, especially featuring dragons, faeries, centaurs, phoenix, sphinx; but anything fantasy related would be awesome (poster, postcard, sticker, old calendar, anything like that)

- Anything Digimon related: figures, cards, books, stickers, toys, anything like that. My little cousin has become obbsessed with Digimon: Digital Monsters recently and I wish to feed her addiction ;)

- Old board games: even if all the pieces might not be there, that's fine by me; especially Scrabble

Long shot wishes:

Fake plastic cookie. I want to do a silly gag gift for a friend and that would involve a fake cookie. You know, like the fake plastic cookies a little kid would use to play make believe in their play kitchen. I've seen sets of whole kid kitchen items that have cookies but I'd rather not get a whole set just for one plastic cookie.

I have wishes for costume pieces. I know they're a long shot but I figured I might as well ask.

- Motorcycle helmet. Not a bike regular helmet that only covers the top of your head but one that also comes around to protect your chin/jaw, if you know what I mean.
- Gas mask. The kind that sticks out from your face like a Halloween mask with a huge nozzle and two goggles for the eyes (like this:http://disparue.org/gallery/7/doctorwho/1/109/images/doctorwho109_1919.jpg). If not exactly that, I'd take something close to it.
- Black cloak and hood. Nothing special for this one, just your typical black cloak, either with a hood attached or as a separate entity.

Like I said, I know they're long shot but I figured I should just put it out there in the world :)

Thanks for reading my wish list!

Desperate for a copy of Stasiland (about the Berlin Wall). Already have all versions on my WL--- 15 yo daughter just told me they have to read it for school by 1 DEC-- no where was this listed on teacher's reading list or the book list. We only have Barnes and Noble now and I really don't want to buy another book after spending over $400 for her HS books this year.  I can mail it back to you after she's done with it.

Also collecting the Monopoly pieces, game goes on til 24 OCT.

These members collect expired coupons to send to military bases. Coupons should be no more than 3 months past date, please. Just PM them for their address and send a bunch when you can. Much easier than posting here and waiting for someone to request them. This is a great help to our military families. (Only regular coupons, not those for specific stores, please.)

Kimberly M. (nescioquis)

Lisa D. (tommygirl)

Thanks to Kim, Lisa and Cassie and Jessica for their efforts. If anyone else is doing this, please PM and we will add you to the list.

My wishes are the same as they have been.  Thanks for looking!

In reading all the forums, I have seen people discuss the bookmates/openpage covers.  I would love a tradesize since I have been accumulating a lot of tradesize books since joining pbs.  I know it's a longshot, but you never know.

***If anyone makes cloth bookcovers, I would love a betty boop, comedy and tragedy  (masks) or celestial tradesize.   (or solid color. stripes, dots or patterns- no green, yellow or orange please)  ***still hoping

comedy/tragedy stickers

pepsi coupons

magnetic bookmarks

Tylenol Cold and Sinus coupons

Thanks to everyone who has granted my wishes.  I post in the thank you thread, but in case I've omitted anyone, I want you to know I appreciate it!

I am wishing for a small compass (the north-south-east-west pointer gadget, NOT the math circle-drawing contraption!).  A small one, not more than an inch in diameter.  I want to set it into the top end of the walking stick I am carving.   I can't find a compass anywhere!

Thanks for reading!

My GD is doing a class project. She is in need of animal pictures. She has gone to the zoo and taken pictures. We have used magazines and found some. At

this time , she needs amphibian and reptile pictures. If you have any magazines or books with these pictures, they would be a blessing to her.

Thank you for your help!

I belong to a quilting group at my church. We make quilts for the people in the hospital and homebound patients. We could use donations of fabrics. We can

send a tax receipt if requested.

Thank you!

Special requests for this month..maybe a long shot, but I have to try.

Looking for cross stitching supplies..specifically towels and pot holders with the stitchable fabric, going to be doing projects to donate to my children's Fall festival

Deperately need the following. Being our family is on low income due my husband and myself both being on disability and some months get rough. We just bought our kids new school clothing and they went thru

also..my daughter likes nightgowns size 10/12. My son needs pj sets in size 8/10. If you have anything your kids outgrew we would gladly except used! Thank you!

Also looking for anything my daughter could use for a chef costume..accesory wise, for career day at school at the end of the month. She has the hat and apron. We are looking for a large plastic bowl, spoons, chef tag, plastic wisk.

Also my daughter wants to try beading, so if you have any extra beading supplies you won't be using, we'll be happy to put to use.

Happy October PBSers!  I only have two requests.

For my daughter I'd like some flash cards with numbers (she's got letters & colors down pat).

And for my friend, Thomas, I'd like anyone to send him well wishes.  His father stroked out and is due to spend the next two months (min) recovering in the hospital.  As the oldest child, my friend is taking the whole event terribly hard.  Any encouragement I attempt to give him he doesn't take to heart, so I'm hoping hearing well wishes from strangers might put him in perspective.  Thank you in advance for considering.
