Ok last night stuff from a book I read just popped into my head and I cannot remember what book it was. I know it was paranormal, but other then that I have no clue. The scene I remember is there are warrior type men in a car, the hero and the heroine are there too. One of the other men is already "mated" with a woman but while they are driving this other men goes into lots of pain and I think the hero sees this other guys aura change (maybe) and they realize something is happening to the mate.  It turns out the bad guy got the mate and didn't kill her but binded her to him, and later the heroine is caught by the bad guy and sees the other woman with him. It was modern day, but I read so many I cannot remember any more. I try to remember and then scenes from other books pop into my head and it's one big mess lol

Part of it sounds like Linsay Sands 'Argeneau' series where the mother was binded to her childrens father.  He wasn't her mate, but forced her into it.

This sounds sooo familar to me too Ashley. ugh! I hate when that happens.

It definitely doesn't remind me of the Sands books though......

It does sound familiar but it sounds more like one of the BDB books what with the group in the car and binding and auras, not the most recent one but 2 or 3 books back....

no it's not BDB... I'm pretty sure it was the start of a new series, and I think it's the only one out so far

It was one of the Lara Adrian books.  But I've sent them out and can't tell you which one.  But I know the scene.  The one with the photographer?

Rio's book? Who was it then that was mated and then unmated? It wasn't any of the other main characters in the series.

The car thing reminds me a lot of Lara Adrian's books too (I just finished the third one earlier this week!), but not the parts about something happening to an abducted mate or auras changing....

And at least the beginning of the series must have been out for a few years or you'd probably remember more!

Ashley, it sounds like Tempt Me with Darkness (Doomsday Brethren, Bk 1) by Shayla Black but I could be wronge...

hmm it definitely fits, can you tell me more about it? I read it but like I said, I read so much....I mostly just remember the main couple from the book. Who was the bad guy?

To tell you the turth even I forgot..LOL but the guy who is in pain is LUCAN and his friend who is mated with his is Marrok sand Olivia Gray.

I do have the book so I will go and check to see who the evil guys was...give few mintues to look for the book...

okay got it, the evil guy was Mathias d` Arc and the scene you describe starts at page 318.

Me too! I was SO mad when I found out that the next book doesn't come out until fall of 2009.

It's got to be one of the Lara Adrian Midnight Breed books.  Funny, cause I just finished the first one last night.
