I marked a book as received and the system automatically put it on my bookshelf on hold since I forgot to de-select the box. I tried to take it off my bookshelf, but instead I took it off hold. Next, I tried to go back in and delete it again by checking the box and clicking "delete", but it's no longer an option since it is waiting for another member who had it wish listed. Now what? If this person doesn't respond, it's just going to be offered to the next person who is waiting and I'm not ready to get rid of it  yet. What do I do?

If you put your account on vacation hold and the other member doesn't respond, then it will go back onto your bookshelf and you can delete it from there before it's offered to anyone else.

If the other member does respond, then you'll just need to click I Cannot Mail and explain you posted it accidentally. This was an honest mistake, and while it's disappointing to get offered a WL book that can't be sent, it happens. When you click I Cannot Mail, the book will be removed from your bookshelf and not offered to the next wisher.

Make sure you use the Cannot Mail button. Do not turn down any RCs. Turning down RCs keeps the book rolling over rather than stoping it.
