A special book. Rumer Godden is justifiably a famous author and she outdoes herself in this one. Published 1969. Good description of Turkish Cypriots and their land. 2 little naughty ones, a boy and a little donkey, learn how best to live.

Sippacik means "very small young donkey" and that's what she was. It was standing on trembling legs, its fur still damp. For a moment Rifat stood still in astonishment, but he was only 7 and could not contain his joy.
