I started to watch this series about the great houses of England, last week it was about Highclere Castle aka Dowton Abbey, tonight it is about Chatsworth.  It is such a huge commerical venture they have 700 employees for the house and 105 acre park.  This is a wonderful series for those interested.

I missed that one, but there was a series on PBS yesterday afternoon that was about great English country houses.  It was really interesting.

Could you guys post the actual names of these TV shows so I can look for them in my TV listings and hopefully DVR them?  Thanks!

Clarinda,  Chatsworth House is on before Downton Abbey here in the Twin Cities.  http://www.tpt.org/?a=tptUpdate&id=1398

It might be different where you live.  The one about High Clere was on a series called Great Country Houses, that one was shown just before the season premiere of Downton 3 weeks ago.

I saw episode #3 last night.  How cool that it was "Pemberley" in one of the Pride and Prejudice movies.  The house is magnificent after it's restorations.  (Not that it looked too shabby before!)
