But first...is it okay (ie. not breaking any PBS rules) to put a link to a little 2 minute video that our local 2nd graders made about our local animal shelter? Every time you watch it, it's one vote for our school, and if they win, they get $1500. So, am I promoting something I shouldn't? Or is it okay to share it here? They did such a great job, and their teacher, Mrs. Arbogast, has created a whole curriculum around animal shelters and adopting out pets.
Besides, it's gone viral. On Monday they had 2213 votes. As of this morning, they have 363,024 votes!! (Yep, that's first place!)

I've been on the Board of Directors for the Humane Society in my area since 2005. So, you will understand that this video brought tears to my eyes! I will post the link to our FB page & get your kids some additional exposure!
So well done!
P.S. If any are interested, our FB page is Stephens County Humane Society of Oklahoma. I am one of the administrators and we would love you to stop by (& 'like' us, if you're so inclined.)
Thanks everyone! This class came into the library yesterday, and I came out of my office and said, "OH!! I recognize you all from your movie!!" They were BEAMING.
Kelly, I do understand. The scene (around 0.37) when you see the dogs in the kennels watching the kids run up to them..that does me in. Here's the good news: all the animals you see in this film have found homes.
Not to say we don't have more, but still.
