I had the most interesting conversation yesterday with a co-worker of mine.  She works at different branches, so I don't get to see her often.  But she stopped in yesterday just as I was closing up the library, and we talked for a bit.  In the course of conversation, she told me that her brother is a literary agent.  Cool fact #1.  One of his clients is Robin Hobb...which is Cool Fact #2.  We were talking about her books, and I confessed that I had about six or seven of them, but haven't read them yet.  (Her brother sent her the new ones to read).  So then I asked who else he had for a client.  She said...George R.R. Martin!

I asked her to call her brother immediately and ask about Book Five.  That it wasn't just me, but fans everywhere were dying, already.  She laughed and promised she would ask him what the deal happens to be with this mess delay.

There.  My RAOK for the day.  angel

Cool!

I'm excited enough about the HBO series coming out in April, that I can tolerate delaying the book's release until after Season 1 is over.  But if I have it straight, filming of Season 1 is done, and it's in post-production.  So he'd better have his nose back to the book grindstone, now.  I want it pronto after season 1!

I did away with HBO in a fit of teaching my husband that we don't so many channels. Now I have to figure out how to get it back without him noticing. Aargh.

Oh, honey, Mediacom is increasing our package for free...

Oh, honey, Mediacom is giving a deal on HBO right now, it would be crazy to pass up this deal...

Oh, honey, We won a year's worth of free HBO, OMGosh!!!

Just practicing....

I am so dying to watch this!

I haven't read any of the books but the series looks interesting.  We're planning on watching it.
