I should be getting a box of books from the printer today, "Mountain Vistas" in which yours truly has an essay.   I'm sharing a link to our Kickstarter page, only so you can see the video there.  I love it!  It's still photos of my hometown, and bright, eager, young people who want to make a difference in the world, and especially in our county. I'm happy to call them my friends.  It truly was an honor for me to serve with them.  OH, and my dogs are in the video!  laugh

ETA:  The project is fully funded, and I'll be giving the books away, so no financial gain involved here...just horn tootin'

Vicky -- what a wonderful video. Loved the music (and the dogs). I bet the book is beautiful and inspiring. If I hadn't joined the Peace Corps in my younger days, I would certainly have gone the VISTA route. You deserve to toot your horn!

That is a great video Vicky, and as Deb says you should toot your own horn.  The music was beautiful and I always think of your dogs when I see German Shepherds.  I have been in the mountains in Tennessee and North Carolina, and Virginia, but never up in WV, some day I will have to remedy that.  Thanks for sharing.

That is sooo nice, Vicky! Thanks for sharing and I agree that you SHOULD be horn tooting. Hope Libbie is staying well - and you too!

Did you all notice Senator Byrd being serenaded by two young ladies playing fiddle?  He was at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory for a dedication a couple of years ago.  Maggie and Jennie were thrilled to play for him.  He was quite the fiddler in his day.   The musician is Judith Avers--I just love that song.

The book is a nice collection of essays, poems and photographs, and I think it turned out quite nicely.  wink
