I was just wondering what you all are doing to celebrate the 4th.  I am in Idaho for my Nieces wedding, while poor DH is home holding down the fort.  We will be recovering from a very busy 10 days by the 4th so Mom and I are  just going to relax

So what are your plans?

Staying home to make sure that the house doesn't burn down between the heat and (gasp) the fireworks! We've got enough fires burning in this state right now.

I'll be on vacation that whole week, starting tomorrow, and we're headed for Vermont, on Lake Champlain.  We don't have any specific plans for the 4th but I'm sure we'll find a good spot to see fireworks over the Lake.

Jeanne, I have seen the fires on the news and having grown up in the west I understand forest and brush fires.  I hope you will be safe.

Sharla, I have always wanted to see that part of the country.  Have fun!

I'm gonna be doing the same thing as Jeanne.  Gotta keep an eye on the pyromaniac 16yo DS!

Staying home and watching the local fireworks in our area.  We can see several displays from our house.

We are heading to my Aunt's house for a cook out. My cousin is home on leave from Guam. We haven't seen him for a year and a half!
