Very funny book about a short season year in the minors. If you are a baseball fan, you will probably like this book. Almost kept as one of my keepers but have decided I need to share with others so I will be posting it after co-workers are done reading it.

This was a great read for any true baseball fan. You learn what minor leaguers go through and how players shuffle between many organizations.

Terrific!

This book had me laughing out loud at points; a well-written account and focused on the many misadventures the author encounters in the minors, instead of a pseudo-biography of the author himself, which many of these books seem to become. Since publication there's been some debate over how much of what happens in the book is actually true or exaggerated, but either way it's still a great read.
