I took some books to the post office this morning to mail and I was looking at my receipt after I got home. One of the packages had this message: "The timeliness of service to destinations outside the contiguous U.S. may be affected by the limited availability of transportation." The package is going to Brookyn NY. Since when is New York "outside the contiguous U.S."? Wouldn't that be more like Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, etc? |

I noticed that recently on a USPS receipt also, but I live in HI. Maybe it's a standard msg for Media Mail regardless of destination. |

I sent a package Parcel Post to Billings, MT today and it is on my receipt, too. |

It's probably just a new warning they've put on all receipts. |
