I'm a social worker who teaches life skills to teens transitioning into adulthood. I love to keep copies of these books on-hand to give them (and most never get returned). So, I trudge on begging for more copies. If you have other titles that were life-changing for you or the teens in your life, please PM with those suggestions as well. Thanks! Rita.

It's Called a Breakup Because It's Broken   Greg Behrendt

He's Just Not That Into You    Greg Behrendt

Toxic Parents Susan Forward

Where's Mom Now that I Need Her

Where's Dad Now that I Need Him

Surviving Your Adolescents Thomas Phelan

The Female Body: An Owner's Manual

Makes Me Wanna Holler    Nathan McCall

I'll take these in any condition--unpostables are fine. Paperback, Hardcover, with or without dustjackets, audio, waterdamaged, taped together, discarded library copies, it doesn't matter, as long as they are readable.

Also, my son attends a small private school that was the vision of a special education teacher who had taught in public schools for 26 years. She was so frustrated with NCLB, she opened her own small school along with a pizzeria, which is a permanent fundraiser for the school. This keeps tuition low for poor parents like myself who really need the financial assistance. Here's the website for the school, if you are interested in taking a look: www.ourneighborhoodschool.com.

I'm trying to help create a library for the school. I'm looking for classics and other literature for children grades 3-8 in hardbacks. These need to be in like new condition (no markings inside or heavy wear). I'd love to do a BOB trade for books for his school, or if you have a super offer, let me know.

Lastly, my grandmother loves to read, but she needs LARGE PRINT books. If you are willing to do a BOB trade or have a super offer, let me know. (She can only read the Large print, not "larger" print.)

Thanks for any help you can provide!! Rita.

I have:

Treasure Island - Robert L Stevenson

The Hardy Boys #37 - The Ghost at Skeleton Rock

both hardback in very good condition.  I don't know what age these are for.  I would be happy to donate them to your son's school.  Let me know if you would like them.  PM me your address.
