What a great surprise we just had!!!   I had two books show up in the mail today, that in itself made it a nice mail day.     One was a good novel, we'll both enjoy reading.   The other one - when we pulled off the packaging, both of us just about gasped in unison.   I knew I was receiving a combined hardcover volume entitled "Classics of Horror" containing the full original Frankenstien and Dracula -- but what I DIDN'T know was that it is a GORGEOUS leather-bound edition (or very good leather-like binding) with all the frills -- gilt page edges, ribbon bookmark, raised hubs on the spine, gilt lettering on cover, etc etc etc.   It doesn't look like it's ever been touched, much less read!

So, after much ooooh-ing and aaaah-ing, we finally made a home for it in the library amongst the few other "nice editions" similar to that that we have ....   but oh my goodness, I can't believe that someone sent out such a beautiful book!!!   Obviously, they got a BIG thank-you from me, but I'm still so excited, I had to share my joy here!!!!

LOL, Tracy ----   "book-gasm" - I love it!   I think that accurately describes how we both felt when we saw it!!
