Since I love to keep many books going at one time, I have a rather convoluted reading system. That's why it's taken me this long to near the end of my 2011 classics challenge.

That being said, I am astounded at how wondrous the last couple books have been: Thomas Wolfe's You Can't Go Home Again is a masterpiece! I also read about Wolfe's major editor, Max Perkins (Max Perkins: Editor of Genius), which enhanced the whole experience.

And now I'm drawing near the end of O.E Rolvaag's Giants in the Earth. What a spectacular book! The psychological insights are stunning.

Reading is a major part of my life, and I'm lovin' it!

I'm currently reading Giants in the Earth for this year's challenge. I agree, great book. Very genuine.

I have owned that Max Perkins book for at least five years - guess I should dust it off and get cracking on it.

Warms my heart to see others who enjoy Giants in the Earth as much as I do.
