It makes you wonder is some people ever get books here. I dont mind someone have an request but I didnt even read all the one today. It started out ok, but was about a paragraph long............and it got more picky as it went farther. Wanting excellent books etc. etc. My books are always in very good condition but I just clicked the cannot send button, sounded like problems to me !

Yup - just decline and move on.

They can have as many RC's as they want, that's their right.

It's your right to decline and not waste too many brain cells figuring out their reasoning.  lol

Honestly, if it's more complicated than the smoking, pets or ex-library kind of stuff I don't even bother reading it.  Condition RCs are too subjective and I don't need the hassle.  I decline and let them move on to someone else.

I'm good to read about 3 sentences of RC, then my eyes glaze over & I reach for the 'decline' button.  If it's an annoying RC, my patience is even less.

I think I had a request from the same person a few weeks ago.  To top it off, it was my first RC.  I declined after worrying about it for a few hours.  Not worth the hassle if they RWAP.

I've gotten my third subjective "I want good books" type of RC and finally made myself a standard reply.  The first several RC's I encountered were very concise and pretty good, only had a problem with the first one, but they ended up re-requesting the book sans RC anyways so that was resolved.  Now it seems like I get the people who haven't read the help docs.

So now when I get a vague or subjective one, I can just cut and paste the following.

I am declining this RC as it is very vague and subjective, please see the suggestions for posting Requestor Conditions found on

I accept all RCs, if I am able to. It does not bother me in the least if people want "like-new" books. I just want to get rid of as many books as possible.

I have never had a problem with any RC transaction. I read them carefully, make a decision about mailing, and then mail the book out.

I also do not have any problem with declining a credit refund, if I ever did have a problem (unless I was in the wrong, of course).
