If any other writer sent in a 1000+ page long manuscript, they would be laughed at. I'm sure King knows what he's doing. I hope King knows what he's doing.

I'm still reading "The Cell"

I pre-ordered the book and I'm reading it now.  So far I like it.

Longer books are a lot more popular now, and I think it's funny how t has evolved.  I collect DAW books, and In the 1970's, nearly all SF/F was under 200 pages.  Now, even a lot of YA fantasy (J.K. Rowling, Christopher Paolini, Garth Nix) seems to be in the 700+ page range.

You'll have to let me know how the book is Stacy. Like in about three weeks when you finish the book, ha ha. I prefer to have a book be at least half of that. The way they produce books now, by the time you get to the middle, the spine will probably give out as well as your hands from holding the darn thing, ha ha.

I began reading yesterday. The heavy weigh doesn't really bother me. I'm reading it on my kindle 10.2 ounces compared to 3.6 pounds. :-P
