I have a book the version of which is not wishlisted.   There are several other versions wishlisted.   Can I put a note in paperback bazaar to let people know it is on my bookshelf?   Can they then buy it directly from my bookshelf?   Many thanks.

Sarah,

You can list it in the book bazaar, and see if anyone wants it.  I have done that a few times.

Sarah, here's an example of what such a thread would look like, were you to create your own posting to advertise the book:

Paperback copy of Eaters of the Dead--different ISBN than wishlisted

And here's a link to the thread in which all such books (those with other editions on WLs, but not yours):

***Wishlisted Under Different ISBN***2011

Hope that helps :)

I wouldn't bother if there's a lot of copies of yours in the system already (put it on your reminder list to see).  If there's already a lot of copies then the WL people just don't want that edition.  I also alwouldn't bother if the WL editions are large print or audio.

That is absolutely a good way to get your book noticed. One thing I would note is to look at what the wish listed versions are. If you have a paperback book and all of the wishes are for audio books, then it may not make a difference because those wishers are obviously not looking for print books. Often there will be wishers on the hard cover books, while 100s of copies of the paperback are in the system, but people are wishing for the hard cover for their keeper shelves. It doesn't hurt to advertise books you have, but keep in mind that the wishers might be looking for specific binding types only.

you could also add a tag to the WLd version called "Also listed under ISBN 1234567890"
