I told you about the one that Im suppose to get a wish list book from that said they printed the postage and then post office wouldnt accept it. Well she gave me my credit back but it still says the book has been mailed which it hasnt. Doesnt she need to cancel this? I told her that and now Im sitting here saying a book is on its way and Im stuck on hold for that wish list book.

She shouldn't have given you the credit, the credit will be returned when the transaction is dealt with. She should have asked the Team to cancel the transaction and that would have returned your credit. Tho I don't understand why didn't she just mail the book? Just because the PO wouldn't take that stale postage doesn't mean they'd never take the book.

If you're not sure what she's done, it is probably best to give the book a reasonable amount of time to get to you before cancelling the transaction. If you insist she cancel, you'll possibly get a copy from someone else, then the first book will show up, and you've got 2 copies.

If she says she mailed it, give her the benefit of the doubt and see if it shows up.

She said the post office would not accept the printed postage and she didnt have any money to send it. I have never heard of them not accepting a book so I know only what she told me.

Wonder how many hundreds of POs can't seem to understand the online postage.  Is someone just hiring without educating new hires?  Or are the long-time employees ducking training?

If the reason they Post Office won't take the postage is because it is out of date, she needs to ask them to print a zero postage meter strip for her to update the postmark. It won't cost her anything.

If she's not mailing the book, then she should write and ask the Admin Team to cancel the transaction.  She can do that by going down to the bottom right corner of any page, and under "company" clicking on "contact us" and using the Feedback option. She can explain what happened, and the admin team can cancel the transaction, at which point you'll get your credit back and you'll be back in your previous spot on the wish list.

You will need to return the credit she gave you -- otherwise you'll have two credits from the transaction.

If she doesn't contact the admin team, you'll still get your credit back automatically from the transaction -- and will need to return the credit she gave you.  26 days after the book was marked mailed (or 35 days, if it's traveling outside the contiguous United States) the system will mark the book lost, cancel the transaction, return your credit, and place you back on the wish list.

We don't have an official post office in my town, instead they have a satellite that handles simple tasks. I've had to explain the person's job to her many, many times. Once she told me that the post office cannot accept packages in the last 30 minutes of business because they need time to get things ready. Another time, the guy told me there is no such thing as "flat rate priority mail" even though the priority mail boxes were sitting right there in front of him and said FLAT rate. Because this branch doesn't have access to computers, they have to call the main branch for a resolution when they don't believe me.

There's another post office north of us and that postal worker fully believes that if the return address is from another town, he can't accept the mail from that person. I run into that with him alot. I'll go in with a box and he'll tell me I have to go to the post office that matches my return address or he can't mail it.

The sender may have run into people like this who really don't know their job.

I would contact PBS and ask them to cancel the transaction.  I suspect that this person simply decided not to send the book for some reason of her own.  I'm fairly sure that PBS can read the PM's behind the scenes and when they see what she is asking you to do, they will cancel the transaction.

I would think perhaps by now you may not want this member to send you anything and if it is the PO not knowing what to do ; I might want to stay out of that whole town, area, state,etc... I am guessing that that member is more than flighty and less than organized.
