Since there doesn't see to be a solution to the 50 credit limit at the moment, I will make an alternate offer:  If there are some books on the general PBS list that you really want and don't have credits for or can't afford to buy them, I will order one (or possibly 2) with my credits to be sent to you.  I tried this today with someone else and the site wouldn't process the request---maybe they will get that straightened out soon, though.  This will obviously not work with wishlist books as I  would be at the end of the line on ordering them.

The thought on giving away credits isn't going to work with the quota system, but the alternate below seems to be viable.  I am still selling them, too, but I have used up my October quota, I think, or almost, anyway, so selling them @ $2.80-$2.85 each (with the option of 2 for 1 on my book shelf, too.) will not work until November.

Nice Offer.  Nice to know that some people are willing to give them away as Random Acts of Kindness.

I don't need any credits but I wanted to let you know that I think it's a VERY NICE laugh thing to do!

May your good deeds come back to you multiplied many times over.

If it turns out you can give them away without affecting your sales.

Please sail some free ones  in my direction.

No pun intended. (Well maybe a little intent)

If you get to the end of the month and haven't met  your quota  in sales.

Think of us poor lowly beggers here responding to your plight.

Hi Winston!

I dont know how much good it will do, but I just wrote and asked. Maybe if they get enough requests something will change.

I dunno. Couldnt hurt though! I hope it helps!

Hello Winston,

I would love an extra credit and I also wrote a letter to the team, I hope this will help, hopefully since all of us are writing at once it should be considered more.

What's to stop someone from selling these extra credits above 50?  I would think it would be easy for someone to claim "I'm giving them away so allow me more than 50" and then sell them instead.  Lots of people break rules.  Not saying YOU would, but I think it's possible that SOMEONE would.

So why not give away 25 and sell 25.  You could do that every month, Idon't think that's unreasonable.  I don't think giving them away in the forum is the same as the ones you donate back to PBS.  I have to agree with booklover that someone will break the rule if it is changed back.

Very nice of you!  I could always use credits.  My kids are constantly finding books they want, and I'm a sucker for letting them read.

I wish the team would allow people to give away without a limit, but I'm not sure they would be able to distinquish giving from selling.  I wish you luck with your quest.

Good luck Winston.  I was told that with anything over 50 I could:

Order books (don't really need very many more, I have over 6000)

Order CDs  (don't do CDs)

Order DVDs (I'm a Netflix subscriber)

Donate them to the site (My paycheck is truly a laughing matter, I can't afford to ship books for $2.50+ each, then give the credits to PBS to sell for $3.48.)

I hope they decide to let you give them away.

Why not sell them for less, like $1 each?  That way you'd still get some money out of them, which you seem to want, but help a lot of people who get an inexpensive credit.

Good Luck Winston....

I for one can never have too many credits!  I hold onto every one I get for dear life!  LOL

ETA:  Recently I had to place my bookshelf on hold due to financial reasons,  I cant afford to mail out any more books this year.

Wow - I'm finding this site to have many generous, helpful members!

I guess I am too new since I don't know what the rules are for giving/receiving/buying credits. And HOW does someone accumulate that many credits? I'm finding I run out the minute I pick out a book! I get lots of wishes granted, but without credits, what good is it?

Good luck Winston...

If I recall from the post about the 50 credit a month limit, Winston sends out several hundred books a month, that means he spends  a bundle on postage each month. He should at least get money for the 50 credits he can.

Winston, you could always tranfer credits to swapadvd.com or swapacd.com, and sell them (or, give them away) there.
