I have an older book that doesn't have an ISBN in the book. It does have a Library of Congress number. When I do a search on the title, there are several people who have versions of this book on their wishlists.
When I do a google search on the book title, I find the book I have with an ISBN for it. All details match, publisher, date of publication, author,, etc. Can I list this book by the ISBN I found, or do I have to post it without an ISBN and hope someone that wants it finds it?
This book is The Winthrop Woman by Anya Seton, 1st edition, published in 1958. Hard back, no dust jacket. |

Unfortunately you will have to post it without an ISBN. As for the members who have it on their WishList, you may want to post in the WishList books with different ISBNs thread in the Book Bazaar. You can also add it to your signature if you are a regular forum poster. And put it in your profile. Also, if a member searches by Author or Title, it will come up as available. |

What you can do is to put a tag on the other editions along the lines of "Copy available - ISBN# 12345 (your system-generated pseudo-ISBN number)", removing that tag from those other listings when yours has been sent. I think that should help get yours noticed. Last Edited on: 6/16/08 6:34 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

I would definitely post it in the bazaar and put Anya Seton right in the thread title. Her books get snatched up really quickly around here. |

Ok, thanks for the information. I'll post it without the ISBN, and put it in the Bazaar |
