Healthful, delicious and fun recipes fill this large sized softcover cookbook. A wonderful way to introduce cooking to children! We LOVE the beautiful fairytale color illustrations and fun names for these wonderful recipes. I am impressed with the way the author has put together some very creative and unique recipes such as angel cakes with warm applesauce syrup, Babar's carob french toast with orange yogurt sauce, Family Ronbinson Chicken Salad, Bambi's Salad Bowl (with lettuce, strawberries, cucumbers and a honey lemon dressing), Mowgli's Tiger Milk, Lost Boys' Tofu Kebabs, Frog Prince Tortilla Pie, Aesop's Fabled Chicken, Selfish Giant Cookies, and Silver Lining Blueberry Cobbler.

There are sections for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and drinks, and desserts.

Recipes include healthful ingredients with many fruits and vegetables, honey, plain yogurt, fruit juices, carob, and rolled oats.

Although not strictly vegetarian, there are only a few recipes including fish or meat and always done in a healthy way such as Thumbelina Burgers made with ground beef and tofu, Aesop's Fabled Chicken made with skinless chicken breast with peach or apricot juice, ginger and crushed whole grain cornflakes, and Little Mermaid Tuna Muffins with brown rice, grated cheddar cheese, tuna, lowfat yogurt and lemon.

Overall a beautifully creative, unique and healthful cookbook that we return to again and again.
