Another great addition to the series. I heard a lot of mixed reviews on this book, but I loved it. James' usual outstanding writing.

Wow. I was so not expecting this book to be almost identical to my experiences as a new bride. It made me wish that we had resolved all our issues as well and quickly as Edie and Gowan did. Unfortunately, my experience was more drawn out and unresolved for years. It finally led to the ending of my marriage. So I cried reading this book--cried for all the unresolved issues and misunderstandings, the communication gaps, the feelings of failure, the physical pain. I wish my ex and I had found our happy ending like these two did. We even shared a love of music, but never managed to have it bind us together. Thanks for a great book, Eloisa James.

James was a new author to me and I started with this book in the series, don't know why I started with Book 5. I loved the anticipation of the girl being put in the tower. And I kept waiting for that event to happen. In the in between time, the characters and story kept me entertained and wanting to read more. I definitely want to read more from this author!

Even though I skipped through a lot of filler, I really liked the story and the characters. I think Gowan's continuing lustful thoughts that rolled around in his head was a bit over done. Also, here's a heads up-don't expect the 'tower' thing suggested in the teaser to come into play early on in the story. I don't want to spoil anything, but I read the teaser and kept anticipating some action in the tower. It distracted me from the story. Don't let it distract you. Just enjoy the story in the moment. Recommend!
