If you enjoy mysteries focused on the forensics, give this series a try. The case is ice cold and a genuine puzzle, the information on identifying unknown soldiers fascinating. If you've worked for government, military, or mega-bureaucracy, you'll really enjoy Holland's wry viewpoint.
This is a very promising debut novel with well-drawn characters, lots of tension and red herrings. It's a bit reminiscent of the "Body Farm" novels, but without the self-conscious folksiness. If you enjoy these or the novels of Kathy Reichs, Beverly Connor, et al, give this series a try. I've already ordered the second in the series, and hope Holland continues to write them.
