Is paper missing or is it a simple tear? I would probably post it as either of these, being small, is allowed.  A simple tear I would attempt to repair with a tiny amount of white glue on the edges of the paper fiber, protect with a fold of wax paper or backing from a sticker, clamped shut as it dries. That usually renders a tear invisible.

It is a small tear. My loving cat decided to lay across some books I have just received to sleep, and he sort of ripped the top. I will try your suggestion though.

I thought I had posted the picture. I guess the site didn't take the picture though.

you could post it and if somebody requests it send a message about the tear and ask if they still want it.

Pretty sure the rules say a less than 1" tear is okay.  I'd just tape over it and send it out.

I got a new book from someone in a game, directly from the bookseller.  It came with a tear in the cover!  I just put some tape on the tear (it's less than an inch) and I won't hesitate to send the book out again since it's a brand new book, read once.

Tape would probably casue more complaints than just leaving the acceptable small tear.(within rules)

A tear in the cover less than 1.5 inches is postable, in the pages no tearing is allowed.

I would tape it to stop further tearing.

Pages:

  • No torn or chewed/gnawed pages, as below:
    • Tears up to an inch are OK if they don't interfere with text.
    • Yes, that does say "chewed/gnawed".  That means no pet-chewed (or human-chewed) books.

If it's a tiny tear, I would put a small piece of tape on it (if it's on the cover) and post it.
