having been dissapointed in kenyons more recent books, i was honestly expecting more of the same.

this book, however not her best work, was definatley worth reading and keeping. lots of new characters

and some familiar favorites. the catch is, the plot, and all the surprises. i found myself totally blown away

by the secrets that were revealed, not to mention alot more fighting, similar to her earlier dh works. maybe

not 2 thumbs way up but definatley worth the cash.

i also became very bored with both feehan, and kenyons series, so its not just you. i was so excited to

read ash's book, but i still was dissapointed. one silent night is the best kenyon book since seize the night.

the surprises alone made it worth the read...and just in case anyone is wondering, ash is NOT the baddest

thing there is. you will all crap when you find out who actually is the big bad.....

I just picked up One Silent Night...I'm glad someone liked it. You guys are right, some of her books lately have been a let down. One of the dream hunters I couldn't even get through the first chapter. I did think Acheron was great, although WAY to much torture. I started skipping pages.

I got it myself yesterday but haven't dived into it yet.

After Devil May Cry...which I thought was so horrible you should set it next to your fireplace for starter fuel...I swore I was done.  But I couldn't resist Acheron's story and I'm glad I didn't.  I loved it.  My only thought  so far about One Silent Night was it seemed kinda short....large font to make it seem longer.

I'm glad you liked it.  Now I'm really looking forward to checking it out to find out who is the Big Bad, etc.!!

I agree!!!!  Her books have been a drag and I haven't been able to read the Dream Hunters at all.  I did get Acheron and didn't like it.  I felt (like almost everyone) I could do without the explicit torture and skipped alot of the book.  I also felt that she made his character mousy.  I do have One Silent Night and hope to read it and love it.  I am hoping that she doesn't screw around too much more with Nick.  I really loved his character in the beginning of the series and have been disapointed with where she was taking him!

Ooh...you're right...she did make him mousy. His woman had more of a spine. Still love Ash though. (and Simi)  Where do you think Nick's going? He was great in the beginning. Maybe he'll be a DH and still be the old Nick.

Well thank you for letting me know!!!!!!  I will start reading it as soon as I finish with "After Dark" by Jayne Castle.  I started re-reading it because I really like the characters and felt like a light read.  Have a great week-end Marion and I will get back to you on "One Silent Night" probably Monday.

I just finished reading One Silent Night.  It was a quick read and she revealed some interesting secrets and of course introduced new characters.  It was ok  - I was entertained but the series doesn't have the same "Omf!" for me as before.  But the series as a whole still has a place in my heart so I will still continue to read them.

I still haven't started Acheron...he's one of my favorites and I don't want to end up disliking him:lol:   I don't think I got past the first Dream Hunter book even though I have all of them!   I bought One Silent Night but haven't started it yet either.   My favorite was Night Play and I'd really like another were-hunter story.   Still all keepers for the time being though:lol:
