Ten year-old Mallie is tired of being an identical twin and having to wear the exactly the same clothes as her twin sister Hallie - and always being second when people mention "Hallie and Mallie." This is how she attempts to be different from her twin - with some successes and some disasters! Set in Indiana during World War I, part of the twins' activities is knitting for the Red Cross. A slight book, but setting forth a very real problem for identical twins.
